So the trip has officially begun for me as I sadly, yet excitedly boarded the 737 this morning to fly from Wyoming back east to NY. I know you may ask ‘why would you fly east to fly back west again’, but I am flying back east for two reasons- one to see my grandmother for a day and two because mom doesn’t want to fly by herself, so we are leaving together from NY on Wednesday at 4am! Currently, I am sitting in the sardine-like filled airport of Atlanta watching the rain fall on a stormy smoggy, quite depressing day here. At least I can have some Monterey jack cheese, baby carrots and olives for dinner, with some dried fruit for dessert. If any one reading this has had the same snacks while in the airport, then you know where I am. I know I am still in the US, but it is still a shell shock coming from where I normally live to anywhere else in this country. It's just such a different way of living and taking care of your self. That may have been a bit of a tangent, but I’m sure I will have lots of tangents on this trip. I am sad I had to leave b on his birthday though. Happy Birthday B! Hope you ended up having a nice day.
