A few trips later!

Sometimes we all go through periods of dull moments and periods of extreme creativity. We are artists, thinkers, creatives; this is part of our process.

I have had this blog post open for days now with those first two sentences written. Apparently, in the middle of writing this post, I lost that creativity for a little bit and couldn't figure out what to write. I find it challenging to keep up with blogging as I really do not think people want to know my whereabouts on a daily basis or how many miles I've ran, sweat I've created, poops I've made and so forth. Really?! You do not want to know all of that information.

Seeing that it is almost June, I have gone on a few trips since my last post about Iceland. Vegas was right after Iceland, for a photography conference, which is always fun. Then Utah for a few weeks of work and skiing, and Florida for a week or so. Most recently was a quick trip up to Maine for the weekend to open up the house. I'm trying to figure out summer trips at the moment, so if anyone has some ideas, let me know! I'm open to suggestions and travel partners!

Fall in Maine

After attending Photoplus Expo in NYC, which was a wonderful conference and networking experience, a friend who had never seen most of the north east suggested a road trip! I am always up for a road trip, so was happy to be the tour guide and driver for our adventure. I had to cut our trip a little bit short because another last minute trip appeared on the horizon and I wanted 24 hours at home before that trip. So my original plan was to head up to Rochester, then drive across Vermont and New Hampshire into Maine, but the first part of the trip was cut out because of the time. That trip will happen another day... and don't worry Cal, I will get up to visit you soon!!!  We ventured to Maine instead and stayed at my little place up there as a home base and explored the coast line and a few hours inland. We missed the peak fall colors, but as usual Maine didn't disappoint (it is one of my favorite places on earth for a reason). I've learned too that the blueberry bushes peak in color after the regular trees, so we found some amazing reds peaking for the bushes!
We ventured to the top of Camden Hills which overlooks the entire coast line, went to a few of my favorite lighthouses, Marshall Point, Owl's Head, and the Rockland Breakwater. Had some awesome beer at Allagash, and had fires every night! A fun photo trip!

Maine is and will always be my happy place. I go fairly often and I don't usually post on here about it. This summer was quite busy with a lot of travel (I was home for about a week and a half all summer), so I'll post some images as to why i'm in love.
